An exciting "Find The Ace"-type effect for kids! Participation and laughs galore!
Effect:
This is destined to be a classic kids' show effect! Packed with audience participation and a kicker finish, yet easy to do! It's based on "Which Witch is Which?" by David Ginn.
Four attractive, laminated, full-color cards are removed from a laminated, full-color envelope with a picture of a castle on it. This envelope is placed aside for now, but in full view.
The three cards each have a picture of a witch-sister on it, one named "Ezmerelda", the other "Zelda", and the other "Helen". The fourth picture is a picture of "Boo" the ghost.
You ask your audience to keep track of "Boo", which you turn over, so only the back of the card is showing. "Each time you guess where "Boo" is, I'll take a witch-sister away to make it easier," you tell your audience. The game begins, and as the kids call out where "Boo" is, (the only face-down card among the faces-up witch-sisters) you eliminate a witch-card. Finally you're down to one face-up witch-card, and one face-down "Boo" card. The kids scream and point to that face-down card, which you turn over.
The face-down card turns out to be "Grezelda", a fourth witch-sister! All that's left are four faces-up witch-sister cards, because "Boo" has vanished!
You won't believe the audience reaction at this point!
You then state that "Boo", like any good ghost, has returned to his home; picking up the castle-envelope, you reach in and pull out the card with "Boo" on it!
